קריטריונים לבחירת מצטייני דקן ורקטור (English below)

1. רשימת המצטיינים מופקת אחת לשנה במהלך חודש ינואר.

2. המצטיינים נבחרים מתוך תלמידי התואר הראשון על סמך ציוניהם בשנת הלימודים הקודמת.
3. רשימת המצטיינים כוללת 3% של התלמידים בעלי ממוצע הציונים הגבוה ביותר בכל מחלקה/פקולטה, ובכל מקרה ממוצע הציונים לא יפחת מ- 88.
4. ברשימת המצטיינים נכללים סטודנטים בשנים א-ג ללימודיהם לתואר, פרט לתלמידי המגמה לאופטומטריה וביה"ס להנדסה שייכללו גם בשנה ד' ללימודיהם. סטודנטים בתכניות מיוחדות ייכללו בהתאם לשנות התקן הקבועות לכל תכנית.
5. ברשימת המצטיינים נכללים סטודנטים אשר רשומים בשנת ההצטיינות לקורסים המקנים לפחות 16 נקודות זכות אקדמיות שנתיות וקיבלו ציונים מספריים בקורסים אלה. במסלול דו חוגי, לפחות 6 נקודות זכות יהיו במחלקה שבה נבדקת ההצטיינות. מכסת שעות זו חלה גם על סטודנטים הפטורים מלימודי יסוד ביהדות.
6. סטודנט חייב להיות רשום בשנת ההצטיינות לתוכנית לימודים תקנית לתואר ראשון - בהיקף של חד חוגי או דו חוגי.
7. הממוצע לקביעת המצטיינים מחושב על סמך לימודיו של הסטודנט בשנת ההצטיינות בכל  הקורסים שלמד, בתכנית לימודים שלמה לתואר ראשון בלבד (חד-חוגי, דו-חוגי, דו-חוגי מובנה) כולל קורסים עודפים וקורסי קיץ (למעט אנגלית כשפה זרה, הבעה עברית, תעודת הוראה ושנת השלמה לחשבונאים).
8. בשקלול ממוצע הציונים השנתי להצטיינות, ציון "נכשל" יחושב כציון 50.
9. סטודנטים שלומדים בתוכנית דו-חוגית יקבלו הצטיינות רק באחת מתוכניות הלימוד – ברירת המחדל היא התוכנית שבה הסטודנט צבר בשנת ההצטיינות את מרב נקודות הזכות עם ציונים. במקרים חריגים, הדבר יהיה נתון לשיקול דעתו של  סגן הרקטור.
10. במקרה שלמצטיינים ברשימה ממוצע ציונים זהה, דרגת ההצטיינות שווה, ללא משמעות לסדר בו הם מופיעים.
11. סטודנטים שהורשעו בוועדת משמעת בגין הפרת טוהר הבחינות והעבודות, לא ייכללו ברשימת המצטיינים. 
12. לא יילקחו בחשבון ציונים שייכנסו לאחר מועד הפקת רשימות המצטיינים, גם אם הסטודנט נבחן או הגיש עבודה זמן רב לפני מועד הפקת הרשימות.
13. בקביעת ההצטיינות לא יילקחו בחשבון שיקולים שאינם חלק מרשימת הקריטריונים. המחויבות שלנו לשקיפות אינה מאפשרת התחשבות בגורמים אישיים כגון: מצב כלכלי, בריאותי, משפחתי וכו'.

בחירת מצטייני רקטור

1. העילית מתוך רשימת המצטיינים תוגדר כמצטייני רקטור
2. בד"כ יוקצה בכל מחלקה מצטיין רקטור אחד, אא"כ מכסת המצטיינים תאפשר מספר גדול יותר.
3. ממוצע הציונים של מצטיין רקטור לא יהיה נמוך מ-95.
4. שאר הסטודנטים המצטיינים יוכרזו כמצטייני דקן.

ערעורים

1. טיוטה של רשימת המצטיינים תפורסם בשלב הראשון עם מספרי תעודות זהות בלבד.
2. מיום פרסום הרשימה יינתן לסטודנטים פרק זמן לערעורים.
3. לאחר תקופת הערעורים יפורסמו רשימות שמיות סופיות ע"י הפקולטות.

Criteria for Rector’s List and Dean’s List Honor Roll

1. The honor roll is determined once a year in the month of January.
2. Honor students are selected from bachelor's degree students based on their grades in the previous academic year.
3. The honor roll comprises the 3% of students with the highest grade average per department/faculty, on condition that their average is not below 88.
4. The honor roll includes first, second and third year students from all departments, as well as fourth year optometry and engineering students. Students in special programs are included in accordance with the number of years determined for each program.
5. The honor roll for a particular year includes only students who are registered in that year for at least 16 annual academic credits and obtained numerical grades for those courses, of which at least 6 credits are in the department where they were selected for honors. This credit threshold also applies to students exempt from basic Jewish studies.
6. On the year for which honor roll status is granted, the student must be registered for full time bachelor's degree studies in either a single major or a double major program.
7. The average for determining honors will be calculated based on grades for all courses taken in the year under consideration, in full time programs for the bachelor's degree only (single-major, double-major, double structured major) included excess courses and summer courses (not including English as a Foreign Language, Hebrew writing, teacher's license courses and the supplementary accounting year).
8. In computing the annual grade point average for determining honors, 50 shall be considered a failing grade.
9. Students taking a double major will be considered for honors in only one study program – by default this shall be in the program where in the year under consideration for honors, the number of graded credits accumulated by the student is higher. Other special cases are subject to the discretion of the Vice-Rector.
10. Honor roll students with identical averages are considered of equal standing, with the order of appearance of their names on the list inconsequential.
11. Students found guilty of violating exam and assignment integrity by the Disciplinary Committee will not be included in the honor roll.
12. Grades entering the system after the list has been determined will not be considered, even if the student was tested or submitted assignments long before the list was determined.
13. No consideration will be given to any criteria other than those listed for inclusion in the honor roll. Our commitment to transparency does not allow for personal considerations such as financial, health or family issues.

Selecting Rector's List honor roll

1. The elite from among the honor roll will appear on the Rector's List
2. Typically, one honor student will be allocated to the Rector's list from each department, unless the quota of honor students allows for more.
3. The grade average for the Rector's List is 95 or higher.
4. The remainder of the honor students will be announced as Dean's List honor students.

Appeals

1. The interim honor roll will be posted initially by ID number only.
2. Students will be granted a window of time for appeals after the list is posted.
3. After the appeals period the final list will be posted by the departments.
