הודעה בדבר דחיית מועד הבחירות לאגודת הסטודנטים

סטודנטיות וסטודנטים יקרים,

שלום רב,

בעקבות פניות שהתקבלו מסטודנטים בדבר חשש לאי-סדרים בהתנהלות גורמים המעורבים בבחירות לאגודת הסטודנטים ובמטרה להבטיח הליך תקין, החליטה הנהלת האוניברסיטה על דחיית מועד הבחירות, אשר היו צפויות להתקיים ביום 17.6.2025.

החלטה זו התקבלה לאחר בחינה מדוקדקת של הסוגייה, והיא מבוססת על שני נימוקים עיקריים:

1. מועצת אגודת הסטודנטים הודיעה על סיום כהונתה של ועדת הבחירות הנוכחית, ומשכך נדרש מינוי של ועדת בחירות חדשה.

2. מועד הבחירות לא תואם מראש עם האוניברסיטה, כמתחייב לפי סעיף 20 לחוק זכויות הסטודנט, התשס"ז–2007.

אנו מבקשים להדגיש כי ההחלטה נובעת מתוך אחריות ושמירה על זכויות הסטודנטים והבטחת תקינות ההליך הדמוקרטי.

מועמדים אשר טרם פנו לאוניברסיטה בעניין זה, רשאים לפנות עד ליום 10.6.2025 בכתב אל דקן הסטודנטים, פרופ' בנימין שמואלי, לכתובת הדוא"ל: dean.students@biu.ac.il

ככל שלא תימסר הודעה אחרת עד ליום 11.6.2025, ייקבע מועד בחירות חדש בתיאום עם הנהלת האוניברסיטה ויפורסם בהמשך.

Dear Students,

Following inquiries received from students concerning possible irregularities by parties involved in the Student Union elections, and to ensure a fair process, the University Administration has decided to postpone the elections, originally scheduled for June 17, 2025.

This decision was made after a thorough examination of the matter and is based on two main reasons:

1. The Student Union Council announced the end of the current Election Committee’s term, making it necessary to appoint a new Election Committee.
2. The election date was not coordinated in advance with Bar-Ilan University, as required under Section 20 of the Student Rights Law, 2007.

We wish to emphasize that this decision stems from a sense of responsibility, and from our commitment to safeguarding student rights and ensuring the integrity of the democratic process.

Candidates who have not yet contacted Bar-Ilan on this matter may do so in writing by June 10, 2025, to the Dean of Students, Prof. Binyamin Shmueli, at the following email address:

Unless notification is given to the contrary by June 11, 2025, a new election date will be set in coordination with the Bar-Ilan University Administration and announced accordingly.
