surplus courses
Requests for removing surplus courses which are not degree requirements are to be issued only when submitting the request for graduation.
Students who have grades in surplus courses not required for the degree, may request that these be removed from their grade point average only once – at the time of request for graduation. Surplus course names and numbers should be specified on the “Request for graduation” form.
If these courses are in fact confirmed as surplus courses, they will be removed from the average and from the credit count for the degree and will appear in the student transcript in a separate table entitled “Surplus courses”. It is not possible to remove these courses from the transcript entirely.
Similarly, courses assigned a grade of ‘failure’ / ’no grade’ / ’not yet determined’ that are not required for the degree will be removed from the average and the credit count for the degree and will also appear in a list of “surplus courses” without option of having them removed entirely.
