Request for graduation and confirmation of eligibility

Request for graduation

Students who have fulfilled all degree requirements that apply for the relevant year (their year of admission) and all of whose grades have been officially recorded, may submit a request for graduation through the In-Bar portal.
Requests for graduation are first sent to the Tuition Department. Only after the Tuition Department has verified that all financial debts have been settled, the requests are forwarded to the Registrar’s Office to verify that student academic requirements have been fulfilled.
Please note that requests by students in the thesis-based master’s degree track are also sent for approval by the library services in parallel to that of the Registrar.
Requests are handled in the order they are received by the Registrar’s Office.
Requests are handled within 20 business days from the day of receipt by the Registrar’s Office. During peak periods, turnaround time may be longer.
Under no circumstances does the Registrar’s Office process a request out of order; this is the only way to ensure fairness to all students.
Students who submit a request for graduation are sent a confirmation that their request for degree eligibility has been received and is being handled.
Please do not contact us for updates before this time has elapsed.

Students who have fulfilled all their academic obligations are to submit their request for graduation through the In-Bar portal.

Degree eligibility confirmation

Confirmation of eligibility may be obtained only after submitting a request for graduation. The confirmation will be given to students who have fulfilled all academic requirements.
The date of degree/certificate eligibility is determined by the date the last task for the degree has been fulfilled: the date of the last exam, the date the last assignment was submitted as reported by the department to the Exam Office, or the date on which a waiver was granted by the Status Office/School of Graduate Studies.

After receiving your degree eligibility confirmation, no changes may be made, including:

1. Date of degree / teaching certificate eligibility
2. Grade improvement in a course or another academic assignment related to the degree
3. Study track
4. Grade point average
5. First / last name to appear on the diploma

*You may not be awarded two degrees in the same year, other than certificate studies + an academic degree.

*A prerequisite for being awarded a teaching certificate is bachelor's degree eligibility. Correspondingly, the date of the teaching certificate eligibility shall not precede the date of the bachelor's degree eligibility.

*Students taking a double major will be included in the graduation ceremony of the department they requested in their request for graduation form, where such prioritization shall determine the order in which the departments are listed on the diploma.
* Degree eligibility confirmation does not serve as an invitation to the graduation ceremony. Invitations to graduation will be sent to eligible graduates via email, prior to the graduation ceremony.
