Requests for graduation

Conditions for graduation for academic degrees and certificate studies

Students who have completed their academic requirements and have settled all financial debts for their academic degrees/certificate studies and all their grades have been entered into the In-Bar platform, must submit a formal request for graduation via In-Bar. Before issuing the request, students are to verify that their personal details appearing in the system are correct and update them if they are not. A message confirming receipt of the request for graduation will be sent to the email on record.

To be included in the list of graduates whose degrees are conferred in the upcoming graduation ceremony, a request for graduation must be submitted by April 15, 2024.

  • Academic curricula are open to change. It is the student’s responsibility to verify the requirements binding upon them for their particular program for their specific year (based on year of admission).
  • Students must complete all tasks for all courses, including seminar courses, by the opening day of the subsequent academic year to avoid a surcharge of 10% of annual tuition.
  • Additional requirements for the bachelor’s degree: courses in basic Jewish studies, English up to the level of exemption, Hebrew expository writing and general courses to complete the quota of credits where necessary.
  • Additional requirements for the master’s degree: courses in basic Jewish studies / general courses, English up to the level of exemption.

Submitting a request for graduation

Requests for graduation are first sent to the Tuition Department. After the Tuition Department has verified that all financial debts have been settled, the requests are forwarded to the Registrar’s Office to verify that the academic requirements of the student have been met.

Requests by students in the thesis-based master’s degree track are also sent for the approval of the library services in parallel to that of the Registrar.
Requests are handled in the order they are received by the Registrar’s Office.
Requests are handled within 20 business days from the date of receipt by the Registrar’s Office. During peak periods, turnaround time may be longer (between April and July response time is likely to increase).
Under no circumstances does the Registrar’s Office process a request out of the order in which it has been received, to be fair to all students.
Degree eligibility confirmation and diplomas/certificates will not be issued to students with outstanding tuition debts.

Authorization of thesis completion (research paper)
This authorization is granted to holders of a master’s degree who completed their studies in the past on a non-thesis track and seek to supplement their degree by writing a thesis.
When such a track is completed, only an authorization of eligibility is granted (no diploma).
* Turnaround time for the request: up to 20 business days
